Mission:

Big 6 Research Method

To research things about the president and the decade in which he served.

Fads, wars, housing, famous people, civil movements (riots, opposition to political events, wars, etc.), segregation, slang, music, fashions, technology, foreign affairs (military), athletics, growth of media, roles of men and women, roles of age groups, education

You must have 4 academically acceptable sources.

*Remember, you may use only ONE encyclopedia entry!

 

3.1 Locate actual resources

3.2 Locate information

Books: Events and people of the decade: 973.9 ; Fashion, 391; Slang 427; Search the catalog, using keywords

Databases: American History Online, PopCulture Universe, ONE encyclopedia

Internet: Google for general searching, but remember that you will need to make sure the site is academically acceptable - make sure you can find the proper credentials.

(Remember that Wikipedia is NEVER academically acceptable because it cannot be credentialed.)
