Mission:

The mission of the CBA Markert Library program is to teach information literacy in collaboration with classroom teachers within the context of the content curriculum, inspire and develop a love of reading, and provide diverse materials and services to enable students to become life-long learners and effective users of information.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     
 

The library is open from 7:45 to 3:45 every school day, including lunch period. Make sure you sign in at all times, including before and after school.

Books are checked out for two weeks, and are renewable if there is not a waiting list for the book. The CBA Markert Library does not charge fines for overdue books, but does expect that all materials will be returned in a timely manner.

NO FOOD OR DRINK IN THE LIBRARY!!!! (This is school policy.)

Mrs. Shull is the librarian for the Christian Brothers Academy. Prior to joining the faculty at CBA, Mrs. Shull taught information literacy at Bishop Ludden HS. Before moving to CNY, Mrs. Shull was Director of Library Media Services and Copyright Officer for the Richardson Independent School Distict in Richardson, Texas.

Mrs. Shull holds a Master's Degree in Information Science from the University of North Texas. Beyond her masters, Mrs. Shull worked alongside practicing attorneys during coursework in intellectual property issues. She has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences, and also conducts workshops regarding school library, information literacy, copyright, and technology issues.
